Vision
Community-centered for all the communities of South Sudan in general and northern Bahr el Ghazal region, northern Upper Nile region and Abyei area in particular through efficient and effective mobilization and management of their own Internal, external resources and actions.
Mission
To advance development through community-driven initiatives that boost community-centered socio-economic development, nurture social cohesion and peaceful coexistence of communities and strengthen traditional institutions that are accountable to their citizens.
Mandate
The Abyei Community Action for Development was founded in 2001 by the community of Abyei in its general community meeting that was attended by representatives of the nine chiefdoms, youth and women with a mandate to mobilize own and external resources to advance community-centered development through community-driven initiatives and active participation
