FFA Projects
Transport links in some villages of Abyei are poor, making it hard for children in different villages to reach their schools, the community to access hospitals and health centers and even people to get their produce to market it is very difficult in this case WFP in partnership with ACAD through FFA project build bridges across small steams to link the impassable areas that opened up new opportunities for Children/community to access schools, health centers and market.
Project Challenges
FFA activities was planned for this period of three months to ensure the full implementation of the activities but there is some challenges faced the implementation of the projects to move faster one of this challenges is lack of tools and seeds and also the beginning of the rain season, to managed all this process ACAD identified the activities that can be effected by lack of tools and gave its contribution to the community to achieve the work in time in consultation with government , community leaders and the project Management Committees at county ,payam and Boma level .
Beneficiaries
FFA projects were planned to considered gender equality and vulnerable groups specially women ,youth , girl and persons with disabilities to ensure all this progress ACAD had organize the County ,Payam and Boma Project Management Committees with a consideration of participation of female by 50% in all the committees and the activities.
Monitoring and Evaluation
For the Donor to monitor the progress of the project, each CP is requested to submit monthly report to respective WFP sub-office. If one CP covers multiple states, such CPs are requested to develop one report per state. Submission deadline is 5th of every following month. The submission needs to be accompanied with automated FFA/ CFA excel reporting template on the progress and achievement.
besides the donor the government and ather relevant organization are allowed to access the progress of the project.
