Implementation of River boats maintenance project supported by Quick impact project (QUIPs) started in first March 2016 with purchasing of maintenance materials and   community sensitization started in First April 2016 which continue until the end of Project in 15 June 2016. The maintenance of boats took month with Black smith being moving from place another and at least he spent three days  to finish  a boat including painting and numbering. Community  helped us lot in boat removing from water and taking it back when maintenance finish. Maintenance of boats, have help a lots the communities on each side of Kiir River.The boats are essential for the movement of school children and the community at large since during rain season the river Kiir is impassable due to over flooding.though the current number of available boats are not enough, as some places still lack the service but its better than before, has this has reduced the number of human drowning especially school going children.
