JOB PURPOSE
ACAD is looking for Field Coordinator Assistant/ project officer as one position. Assistant field Coordinator/project officer will assist Field Coordinator in his/her duties and he/she will be acting in the absence of Field Coordinator.
Field Coordinator assistant /Project officer will be technically responsible for all ACAD projects in Abyei area starting from stage of planning ,initiation and supervision in implementation, She/he will be giving directive and technical advice to project managers ,as well as compiling
The assistant field coordinator/ project officer will be administratively and technically accountable to the field coordinator
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Initiate and develop project proposals tailored to ACAD strategic objectives and plans.
- Liaison with donors, partner organizations and stakeholders.
- Coordinates, monitors, evaluates, plans and programs of projects managed by ACAD.
- Ensuring proper and timely reporting of program activities being implemented by ACAD.
- Carrying out needs assessment, feasibility studies and liaises with donors in the pursuit of new intervention possibilities.
- Prepare and compile monthly reports on all ACAD projects being implanted in Abyei area.
- Reporting progress on project achievements and shortcomings to the Executive Director of ACAD.
- Controlling and reporting on project assets or documents.
- To prepare projects, legal and other documents for senior managers and agencies working or involved with the organization.
- To initiate, present and verify projects that are presented by the organization to donor agencies.
- To organize travels of consultancies who are coming for workshops in Abyei and staffs who are going for training and workshop outside the area as well as keeping project inventories.
- To initiate project file closure, assist in project research and act as contact person for designated projects.
- To develop and implement human resource strategies and policies that are compatible with attracting, recruiting and retaining the best staff.
- To resolve and report to the Executive Director on administrative issues, which arise on day-to-day activities of the organization after consultation with field coordinator.
- To design and develop needs assessments; training plans to enhance the skills and performances of the staff.
- Acting on behalf of field coordinator in his/her absent
- Answerable to field coordinator
Desired skills, qualifications and qualities required:
- Bachelor holder in social science studies
- Five years of Experience in general administration, project planning and management
- Five years of Experience in proposal writing
- Demonstrated experience in coordination and management
- Demonstrated capacity to plan, manage and report on complex projects to tight deadlines
- Well developed interpersonal communication skills and an ability to liaise with people from diverse socio/cultural backgrounds.
- Good computer skills especially office package
- Excellent in English language and knowing both Arabic and local language will be advantage
