FFA Project
Transport links in some villages of Abyei are poor, making it hard for children in different villages to reach their schools, the community to access hospitals and health centers and even people to get their produce to market it is very difficult in this case WFP in partnership with ACAD through FFA project build bridges across small steams to link the impassable areas that opened up new opportunities for Children/community to access schools, health centers and market.
QIPs Project
Implementation of River boats maintenance project supported by Quick impact project (QIPs) started in first March 2016 with purchasing of maintenance materials and community sensitization started in First April 2016 which continue until the end of Project in 15 June 2016. The maintenance of boats took month with Black smith being moving from place another and at least he spent three days to finish a boat including painting and numbering.

Abyei Community Action for Development (ACAD) is a national non-governmental organization working in Abyei area since 2001. The organization is structured into two administrative sections of which the highest organ is Board of Directors and Executive Committee that carries out the day-to-day activities. However, the main vision of ACAD is to see the communities of South Sudan in general and Abyei Administrative Area in particular settled in peace, equity and prosperity, through their efficient and effective management of own resources and actions.
ACAD recognizes the capacities and resources of the community to shape their own sustainable development through active participation. ACAD is guided by approaches of participatory community development, collective democratic work, transparency, accountability, justice and fairness of all members in the community.
